Outreach Events including Job Fairs are anticipated to start in 2020. The project will work with HireNYC to increase awareness of job opportunities. Job opportunities will be publicized through the community board and community organizations, at libraries, places of worship, tenant associations, and on bronxpoint.nyc.
JOB TRAINING
Starting in 2020, Bronx Point will collaborate with Building Skills New York to provide prescreening and placement services with trade contractors. Bronx Point will provide access to OSHA 30 training and construction skills training which will be free to potential workers.
M/WBE INITIATIVES
Starting in 2020, Bronx Point will conduct the following initiatives:
Connect contractors with local businesses
Assist M/WBE and LBEs in getting “contract ready”
Utilize a CRM system with 230+ M/WBEs to maximize our reach
Work with Community Board 4 to publicize opportunities
